09 Ducato 3.0 jtd charging problem (1 Viewer)

Start up engine from cold, battery light stays on. Switch off and restart, battery light goes off. After that no problems until van left a few hours and then problem repeats itself. Is it likely to be an alternator issue or something more ominous?

Does sound like the alternator, you need to get a meter on it and measure the voltage under the different conditions.

Is drive belt tight and in good condition?
