David Turner, a retired banker and member of the Caravan and Motorhome Club since 1988, was appointed as Club Chairman during the AGM on October 28, 2023. Turner, who has served in various club committees and was once the Vice Chairman, is keen on caravanning, fishing, reading, cycling, and swimming. In his new role, he aims to serve the club’s 1.1 million members and work with staff and volunteers to ensure the club remains relevant for future generations. The Club’s Director General, Nick Lomas, welcomed Turner’s appointment and thanked outgoing Chairman Grenville Chamberlain OBE for his 16 years of service.
I wonder if this new chairman will be as rude as Grenville and just ignore correspondence that asks awkward questions? Â
