I have lost the reversing camera on my multimedia zxent 302. Everything is working except the camera. Can I get just the camera has anyone else had this problem. Are the camera's different voltages? Thanks for any help.

As that's just a standard multimedia head unit, swapping out the camera should be straight forward. Depending on how much you want to spend, an Amazon or eBay rearview camera is all you need. You can get some remarkable good pictures off the cheap ones.

In your shoes I would be removing the camera to see what cables are attached to it. Usually the camera is on a short cable that is then attached to a long extension cable back to your head unit.

There are probably three main variants:

a) RCA-type plugs
b) 4-pin "aviator" screw in plugs
c) 4-pin mini plastic push in plugs.

When you know this, just get a replacement off the internet with the same cables - it's then just a case of plug in the new camera, attach it securely (usually small screws) and away you go.

No voltage differences.

If in any doubt post a pic on here.

Tried to message you glad robin with pic's but don't know how to send to you. But update all ok until I took the camera off the back of the van the joins and the camera are to big to pass through the hole. Great. Ok I will buy new camera if I cut the wire how do I attach the new camera wire to the existing wire or wire's?
