Hi I'm looking for a recommendation
We have had many chairs over the years most not comfortable, for the last few years we have been taking our garden chairs which we love, but they are now over 10 years old and last week 1 broke. We don't want that to happen when we're away, so need new chairs.

We have just walked to Go Outdoors and had a look at the Outwell ones they look OK but I would want them to be great at £130 each. Any advice welcome, thanks.
John

We have Lafuma a french make, superb but nearer to £200 (ow much !!!)

I am heavy...

I have one of these.

Superworth Heavy Duty Folding Zero Gravity Chair Beach Chairs Sun Lounger Recliner For Beach Patio Garden Camping Outdoor Square Steel Legs With Free Canopy & Holder Gray Amazon product ASIN B07PJQDMPN

I consider it to be far, far, far better value than the Lafumas...

... and very, very, very comfortable.

We bought Lafuma chairs at their french factory. They have a shop where you can try them all out. They also sell seconds with the same warranty but good discount. We couldnt see the reason for being a second!
Sorry cant remember where in france, anyone know?

I have a card, and have just paid to renew the GO Outdoors discount card that had run out. We walked down to look at the chair but Mrs. Ex spotted some trainers on sale so she had to get them  we got £5 off for the CCC card, but lost £5 for the discount card

I have had a look, most online retailers are out of stock of the Lafuma and also the Outwell.

So I think I will drive down and get the Outwell ones before they go too. I have looked and they have good reviews so I will hope the're OK.
Thanks everyone for the advice

John

If it is the elastic, then you can cheaply buy new bungee cord from a boat chandler and re thread it. I did this for a fellow Funster a couple of years ago

What the heck is a Zero Gravity Chair?
Can they only be used on Moon Rallies?
Surely NASA or SPACE X would be the first place to look, but:eek: they will probably cost more that the MH
LES :giggle:
PS: We have a La Fuma Reclining Chair, I thinks its even got its own carry case. Its Heavy Duty as TinaL bought when she was considering doing a home massage business (no not that type!) any how, she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease shortly after completing 3 years of courses and exams to be qualified. Sods Law is cruel at times eh?
We will be offering it unused at the next Fun Rally or Bring & Buy, its too much hassle to send.
Les again!

I checked Amazon and a lot of online retailers, all out of stock, so I nipped back to Go Outdoors and bought the last 2 they had, because one had the tray missing they gave me £15 off, and they had an offer so 1 chair came up as £110 and the other was £95 then they gave me the Caravan &Camping Club discount, so I paid £184.50. I'm happy with that. Hope we get away to enjoy the chairs soon.

So far behind you peeps...haha.

Laguna, not cheap but better than others, ours are16 years old. Replaced bungee rubber a couple of times over the years as it perishes in the sun. They are heavy though.

Sorry, can you just confirm one thing for me..........

Is it comfortable?;)(y)

Tesco have some chairs on special offer 2 for £12🙂

Lafuma is great. My other Half snapped his collar bone when we were camping once and by the time we finished at the hospital it was too late to pack up and leave. So as he couldn’t sleep on the air bed we had no choice but to get him in the chair- said it was the best nights sleep he’s ever had. Highly recommends the full recline with a beer as well :giggler::giggler:

I hear Virgin, Blue Origin, and Space X will be offering zero gravity chairs.......the cost is eye watering though :ROFLMAO:

Lafuma do do aluminium chairs too. These are very light in comparison to their steel ones. We have a couple and two footstools, the latter bought at different times one is a steel one and one ally Certainly tell the difference

I'm not sure why but when I was looking I found most retailers had no stock, so I bought the only 2
I could find. I hope they are OK, I got a booking for July on a CS so will try them.out then

Not sure why but a traditional deckchair can be quite appealing, they also lay flat saving space.

So 2 years later, how are the chairs, John? 🤣
Hi Annie only just seen this, the chairs are great for relaxing but no so good for sitting at a table, so we now carry 2 types of chair, these and a couple of directors chairs. I don't think I would buy them again.

We had a pair of lafuma ones, bought in France but swmbo found them uncomfortable (she is a shortarse). I liked them and have one I use at home not suitable for dual purpose for sitting at a table though.
