Just bought me this, mainly for just looking at/polishing in the garage and the odd sunny day ride. Had a new one back in the 70's hopefully it'll not lose any value in the foreseeable future

Lovely, remember test riding one back in the day.Had a 380 Suzuki at the time.
Loved the Kawa but thought I might not have survived, seriously was despatch riding at the time and wasn’t gonna be right in Central London, nor was the 380 though.
Enjoy both looking at it AND riding too.(y)

Spooky that ! My brother loved his Kawasaki too. Funnily enough though ...he too also had a Maxi car! ( It is the Maxi in the picture and not the Austin 1800 is it?)

In them days I put ace bars on everything I had I was a bit of a hooligan, here it is with pod filters, campbell geometrics and race exhaust next to an RD 350 that I ended up production racing against the likes of Phil Mellor etc

Looks very clean, has it been restored?

A thing of beauty, my mate had a z1000 and blew it up in two weeks, rebored out to 1200 and as he was only 4ft nothing he couldn’t hold on to it while opening full throttle,
while at the clock tower at Epsom one night by the burger van I had a go and got 120 between the roundabouts...?

Anyone that knows the area will know what I mean... silly but young and stupid...

I would have your version in a flash. You’ve done well to find one I such a great condition.

Its funny how trends go, that Z900 flies out of the showrooms, but you couldnt give the 900 Zephyr away when they came out.

Absolutely bloody lovely.
In the late 70s I had the 900 , bored out and put in a Rickman frame and with an embarrassingly loud exhaust.
Not sure why as I preferred the standard bike, heyho.

Maxi was my dads, he loved them and had 3 on the trot, that ones an HL (super duper model)
passed my test in a maxi i could get to full sized welding bottles in the back or two thousand by 20 tyres
