You may want to point out it's for vehicle not leisure battery use.
Interested in opinions as looking to replace our vehicle battery as well.

I fitted that size battery in my Peugeot Boxer (cab not hab) the original one was slightly smaller (shorter with less ah & cca's)

I've always bought Yuasa batteries for my motorcycles & cars/mohos as they have a good reputation

There are a few options given for cab batteries when you search but be careful some are too big to fit and others are for stop start etc.

Now looking to get replacement battery next week. Did you go ahead and fit the Yuasa or did you go with a. n. other brand?

I have just ordered one of these too, YBX5019 Yuasa Silver High Performance
I also have used them for all my motorcycles brilliant quality.

Has any other Peugeot, Citroen or fiat PV / conversion owner have a parasitic draw? Mine draws 0.595 ma even after locking and waiting 60 mins it then drops to 0.195. I have pulled all the fuses one by one but not found where the draw is going.
so i have a small solar panel in the windscreen keeping it topped up, but i think its the original bat. time for new one.

Think OP did... both in post and heading😃😃

I left it for now as I have had a lot of bills this month
Bit the bullet and ordered the Yuasa after speaking to Tayna who recommended either an Exide EA1000 (£82.87 delivered) or Yuasa YBX5019 (£95 delivered as they gave a little discount as I found it slightly cheaper elsewhere). Thought I spend a few pounds more just to see what it's like.
Just got to break my back getting the old one out and the new one in!:Eeek:

Could it be alarm \ tracker \ etc?

If you buy from Tayna batterys try the code D2BOYS and you may get a 5% discount. I,m in the Discovery 3 & 4 club and we get a discount as they are advertisers on the website. I last used it just before the lockdown and it worked then. Its not a major amount but generally covers the postage (y)

Hi Jez no idea on the battery you mention but the batteries they fitted used to be 700 CCA but they changed them to 900 CCA .For starter batts it's the CCA that matters😉 ....last starter battery I bought was about £70 to fit Ducato with the 900 CCA ....prob 3ish years ago

the body control module stays live and goes through a delayed shut down. purges the air con and a few other things. If you listen quietly you can hear the relays switching. The true parasitic drain is nearer 200mA with the radio, alarm immobiliser all taking their share

arrr that makes sense, mine is around 600mA. In my original post I put 0.595ma should have been 0.595a its over 1/2 amp. so is this the same for all x250 vans? Do you all have to keep toping the starter bat up if not driven for 4-5 days?

Hi Billy, it is much the same for many vehicles, not just vans these days. The over half an amp is for under 2 minutes. Then it drops down to 1/5 of an amp or lower, which is not ideal, but is a reality for most of us. Fitting a solar panel keeps both the hab and van battery charged with the right controller

thanks TheBig1, I can carry on drilling holes in the van then. 30w panel in the front screen now

Don't forget radio memory stays live with ign off and key removed.
That's one of the reasons why I fitted a "kill switch" for the media centre. Not much of a problem having to retune the radio every time we go away and much better than having to get the airbag ECU reprogrammed if we got a low battery warning again!(y)
For some reason the TV (it's got a DVB-T tuner in it) channels stay in memory.

Ignition off draw is quoted as up to 35 ma for Sevel vans in bare factory trim, 20 minutes after ignition off and with all doors locked to ensure proper shutdown of the network bus. Some ECUs have to remain alert, even in sleep mode, to listen for unlock commands, power the clock etc. The PCM (engine) and BCM are the largest quiescent draws in sleep or low power mode.

Additional accessories including alarms will add to IOD, as may equipment fitted to motorhomes, possibly depending how it was installed.

The battery should be capable of going 20 days without a charge, according to Fiat.

All modern vehicles have quiescent current draw to a greater or lesser extent, for similar reasons. Vehilces with stop/start often start from a lower baseline, as the battery management systems aim to keep the battery around 80% SOC, so a vehicle left parked for some time will start from a lower baseline.
