Does any one know of a Restaurant in Ypres that serves meals on New Years Eve ?

The Tourist Office couldn't help and most Hotels don't serve that evening

Any help appreciated

Perhaps thats why the tourist office were reluctant to help a traveler who hasn't a clue what country he is in ..

So, let's add that up.
One useful informative reply and some others that aren't worth commenting on.

I asked the same question on another forum and had 7 useful responses - hmmmmm !

Dear Keith.
You had a reply, constructive, to which you have yet to give feedback. I am therefore. having read your many useful reports over the years on all sorts of Forums, a little saddened that in a time of relaxation you cannot enjoy a little light hearted banter. Happy New Year anyway.

Thanks for the helpful replies.
We've had a walk round the town and called at all the recommended eateries but not one of them are open on New Years Eve.
So we've decided to attend the Menin Gate ceremony that night, have a good weep, and get some pastries and cake and wash them down with wine and brandy.
Not quite how we'd envisaged NYE but could still be an enjoyable evening.
