Damn! I've been rumbled. :(

They said you were short of farm workers so I thought I'd have a working holiday?

It is classed a an 'Agricultural' vehicle so cannot 'moved on' but the prat in Germany who advised me that I would need a sunshade and coolbox in Scotland, at this time of the year, ............?

What do you mean, 'I need a roll-over cage', what do you think the things sticking up with four knobs on represents??

PS. Sorry about the Fokker on the bonnet and the ammo box! ;)

Wheres the 58 cal. Machine gun? I bet the rear wall of the caravan drops down when he hears “ You must park by the peg “ at a CAMC site ! Just think how many wardens he could take out 😈😈😈

I was seriously looking into going to France with a tractor and living van but couldn't find out if the tunnel or ferry would let you on, I'm too old and stiff for it now I'm afraid, but obviously he's got across some how.

have wheels, will travel, why not..
assuming of course it's just a gentleman, or lady possibly, on ther own..

(remembering back to the early 70's when for a while a tractor and trailer was our only family means of transport, (mum, dad, daughter and dog) shopping in tonbridge, cinema in sevenoaks, when needs must then you do..) :)

I recall a tractor and trailer transporting people back and forth through Tonbridge High Street when it was flooded in 1968 .. was this your family?

Joyce lived south end of Tonbridge and I lived to the north in Hildenborough so we were grateful to the farmer for the service.(y)

Met him, or a close friend , in northern France a few years back. We shared the same layby overnight. Very chatty and interesting man, if the same.

I built it the year before covid, then it got abandoned, but it is having an outing this weekend at the Blyth, Kingston machinery rally.

Then it's on AirB&B!

Looking at the emblem on the front of the tractor, it obviously belongs to The Red Baron……!o_O;)

Way to go don't worry about the speed camera's and run on red diesel 👍😀
Even if your tractor just crosses the road from one field to another, technically you should only use red within the fields, black when crossing the road, and change the fuel filter as evidence!
Love the rig though, talk about life in the slow lane (y)(y)(y)

no, not us, was still free and single and not a mum then, would like to think that were we there then we'd have helped for sure, they were different times back then, not like now where people have no time for anything but themselves, its all me, me, me, funsters excluded from that last observation of course..

Got stuck for miles behind a caravan on the A68 once, that rig would double the agony! :cautious:

When we had a farm, we were told that we could travel up to a mile on the road, without a licence and could use Red diesel.
The law must have changed but most Farmers I know, still believe that to be so.
Perhaps someone should inform them as a lot of overseas workers do not have a licence?

The law changed on 1st April this year. Honestly. Not a 1st April joke. Or then again .....

…or it could belong to an (ex) MP…….?!? ;) ;) ;)

Just come across this on a local fb page, could explain it
"Be aware of the Crofters Convoy of vintage tractors who are raising money for Maggies, they will be driving onto the island today heading for Uig."
Followed it up and found this

Sort me a tractor out chaser .
I want to arrive on a camc campsite at 9.15pm with this kind of set up . I will make sure I phone ahead and let the wardens know I am going to be late .

There used to be a German bloke who towed a four wheeled box trailer from Germany to Lagos, Portugal with a tractor, this was in the early part of 2000, he was a character, one night he overdosed and was running around the place we were all parked up, with an axe threatening to kill anyone who stood in his way, eventually he managed to set his trailer on fire which brought him to his senses, apart from that he was a likeable bloke

I saw exactly the same as the OP with 2 tractor caravan outfits at Camping Prutz in Austria some years ago. I cannot remember now whether they were German or Austrians but uponbspe@king with them it was their hobby, with antique tractors. I was interested as a friend was into old tractor.
