Come on then all you intrepid explorers. Those of you that have been there, done that and got the tee shirt. How about giving other Funsters the benefit of your experience by passing on one or two of your "favourite must see places" when touring UK and Europe this summer. A photo or two would be nice as well.:thumb:

I will start us off then

If you are in Southern Spain the the Nerja Caves are a must see get there early, there is so much to see and it is a busy attraction in high season. Once there you will find excellent parking for every size of motorhome. The caves are breathtakingly beautiful and photos just can't do them justice.

The Best Wilding Mediteranian Beach

Go and visit the Napolean Beach at Port Saint Louis where the Rhone goes into the sea.
5 kms of wide sandy beach (just drive along until you find the place you like) that is free for camping in winter and a small charge in summer. Collect drift wood, dig a hole and build a fire. Wonderful bathing.:ROFLMAO:
Heaven!

Whats the best campsite to book into for a trip to Venice then Olley?

Hi Jim depends what you want, for cheap, the Aire at Punta subbioni and take a waterbus to Venice from there, theirs also another aire actually in Venice.

For shopping/nightlife theres a big campsite right next to Jesolo, "Jesolo International" on the beach, again waterbus to Venice on your doorstep.

For a bit quieter try huge site at Punta Sabbiioni "Camping Marina International" on the beach, but you need bus or car as its a few miles from any real shops or nightlife. Bus or walk to Sabbioni for waterbus to Venice.

Hi brisey I have heard that fusina can be a bit noisy at times, due to large groups of students/backpackers that visit.

Thanks for the warning Olley :thumb: We have no plans to go there in the near future, but hope to visit one day, probably as a day or two stopover on our way to Greece.
