We are waiting for the builders to start work on our house, but would like a couple of nights away before they start.
Our biggest problem is Casper (GSD). He will not walk anywhere near a road or traffic, so we are limited as to where we can go. Any thoughts on a site where we can walk without going near a road. We do not need a hook up, or other facilities, and although I have said the coast, anywhere will do.

Jim's CL in Sutton on Sea is really nice, ten minutes from the dog friendly beach and a nice quiet area. Our Gsd (Codi) loved it (and Jim's pate !)

Some of the haven sites should be suitable.

Agree BUT Reighton Sands is quite a slope we went in 2011 with the caravan the rear legs only just touched the ground

In Lincolnshire though not Yorkshire but any CL is nice and peaceful compared to a Haven site

I stayed at the c&cc THS at Fraisthorpe last year - not sure when it starts again, right next to the beach and a good mile off the road, also any on the Regatta Field which is about 20 min walk up the beach towards Bridlington.

Hope you find somewhere

Thank you for the suggestions. What is a THS please
Temporary Holiday Site, usually a field but with water, waste and toilet emptying place. They cost about ÂŁ8 or 9 a night. Sometimes a rally field next to a campsite or even a school playing field
If you belong to the Camping Club look online in the Out and About section.

Swan farm, high hawsker.
Walk on the disused railway that's next to the site. Robin hoods bay or Whitby. 3 1/2 miles either direction. And if you don't fancy the walk back, the taxis are dog friendly:)
