I've just seen this story on the local news.

Link Removed - £60 fine for contravention.

Apparently there has been plenty of local publicity but visitors have been caught out.

Even more reason to use the Park & Ride sites (all of which have parking for motorhomes) is visiting York.

would have been nice if they had included a map highlighting the restriced roads on their website.

no idea where lendal bridge or coppergate is...they are just roads in the city to me.

shame really, as York is the only city i enjoy driving in....any other city puts me in a foul mood

Hi,
Just spent the Wk-end at the Rugby Club with the CC&C excellent wk-end. Of course it was Race wk-end so very busy. The Park and Ride is the best option with seperate parking for motorhomes. We were told the main reason for the re-routing is the Town Bus service is under great pressure sometimes running very late. Old City, modern transport.!!
Best Regards Mac

Lendal bridge is the one that takes you from the theatre area to the railway station. Loads of people are being caught out.
