Hi Jagtazman, I have a Alko chassis on my Rapido, Fiat base with a 2.8 jtd engine manual.
The odd amount (120Kg) is because the guy I got to do the paper exercise said that was all he could certify without the rear air, was looking for 4250Kg, but decided to wait and see if I need that extra 280Kg or just live with the 120Kg.
The upgrade I used the guy that "MINXY GIRL" recommended (truckcon@outlook.com) £120 (see forums on the subject).
I too drive an auto car, but have personally found the manual not too much of an issue as most of the driving in the MH is long distances in top, only my personal finding.
Cheers seen the threads re upgrades not using svtech interesting reading however I thought his email was johnatjrcon@aol.com as I sent him an email on the subject this morning.
Is yours as standard Alko or heavy? Still trying to get my head around the different chassis?

I'm a newbe
The guy is J Ruffles (JR Consultancy) Tel- 01359 250808 or 01244 544598, he seems to have two addresses one is his "NW Office" in Buckley, Flintshire and his home in Bury St. Edmunds. He is half the price of SVtech.
Im sorry but I don't know if my Alko is Heavy or standard, I'm assuming standard as I have not seen anything to say otherwise. Rear axle design WT - 2120Kg.
hope that is of somr help.

Newer vans have newer model engines i.e. euro 4, 5, or 6, this can make a difference if you want to visit London for example... with its LEZ costs...
