Xzent 427 Sat Nav Unit (1 Viewer)

Hi, we are completely new to MH'ing and have had our Rollerteam 707 for about a month now after waiting for year. When ordered it was a cancelled order and came with a few extras which included the Xzent 427 sat nav unit. The MH has come with the updated Steering wheel and no Stock controls but all controls on the steering wheel instead. Now I am not into audio setting etc, But, using bluetooth and connecting my phone to the unit is fine. But although I have voice, call or hang up options on the Steering wheel. They don't work or seem to be connected. Anyone have any advice ?

You should be able to configure through settings in tye Xzent. It will be buried in one of the screens where you van assign functions to a steering wheel button.

Thanks, I have tried that, but both modes seem to be the buttons underneath the steering wheel and a stock control

Hi, I have tried running the download. so far the App update doesn't seem to to run after trying 3 downloads to different USB drives. Although the MCU and DAB firmware did complete. I am going to remove the unit and make sure the USB is connected to USB 1 of the unit.

Hi, I have just tried to update firmware. Completes first stage then hangs on MCU update. Technician who fitted our cameras also tried separately to do this for us and no luck. He said it looks like one of the files is corrupt and he downloaded the update separately.
We now have a unit that has been showing this for days. Contacted Xzent ethnically support last Friday and no response yet.

Hi. I actually got mine to work ok. What I found was the USB cable was connected to USB 2 at the back the xzent unit. Although my MCU and dab firmware updates did install the App install wouldn’t run. After I changed the cable to USB1 the install ran fine. Also during my first attempt at install the unit hung with a back screen. I then found a very small hole under the nav button on the left side of the unit. This is a reset button that you press with a pen or very slim pin or something and your unit would reset.

After the reset, MCU update now worked but the DAB update is not happening and now there is no DAB at all.

I would try downloading the files again or just make sure the usb cable is connected to the usb1 of the unit

Hi, finally sorted, Xzent support answered my ticket with new download files. They did not email me at all so I did not know it had been answered until I logged in to their site. No explanation why the original files on site were corrupt.

That’s good. I was actually going to send the files but I wasn’t sure if I could add them here or how you would have felt about me asking for you email. Glad you got it sorted now.

Sorry to hijack an old thread but I'm hoping someone may have the answer I need. We have a new Roller Team A-Class and it has this X-427 sat nav unit. There is an Apple Car Play lead plugged in but all I seem to get is access to music from my phone. There is no option to switch to Google or Apple maps or Waze or any of the other multitude of navigation options you get through Apple Car Play. My dealership are saying there should be but does anyone know for sure before I waste any time taking it back to be sorted out? I've tried looking at the X-Zent website but it's unclear whether this particular version does have the options I'm hoping it has.

Hi Birdy67, Unfortunately the x-427 only mirrors your phone screen, not full Android Auto or Carplay. You need to download the AutiLink app, then you can mirror screen

Thanks for this. So if I download that app and then have my phone plugged into the carplay lead I'd be able to use Waze or Google Maps?

Yes you should be able to do that, on mine it mirrors everything from your phone screen, so waze and any other app.
