The xgody sat-navs generally get good reviews.

Has anyone had any experience in these inexpensive head units..?

Last year I bought daughter an Xgody phone. Just yesterday she says it's being very naughty, it does an upgrade and loads in an advertising app which she deletes then a week or two later it does it again.

So I'm a bit suspicious of the brand now. I suppose she may have picked up a "nasty" and it's nothing to do with xgody.

But that price is incredibly cheap, will it be subsidised by unwanted adverts ?

They certainly are. Though much is not rubbish and the value staggering, unless you buy Chinese with Apple written on it.

My, now 6 months old, £50 8 inch tablet is still performing brilliantly with loads of space left in it's 65G of memory.

What really annoys me with the ebay Chinese is "Item location: London" and two or three weeks later it arrives from China. The clue is in the arrival date but I sometimes miss that.

That unit of your, it's odd, no mention of Android which I would have expected.

I don't know but WinCE is a bit older than me. My first CoPilot Live ran in WinCE, that was years before MH and it nicked in an airport.

Not an xgody but I am in the process of fitting an xtrons android 8.0 unit, got to the stage of fitting the facia but having alignment issues with the allegedly proper fitting kit, electrically all connected up dab working, feed from odbd2 port updating, even the basic radio is better than the oem peugeot. advise would be get the right iso cable kit especially if you want the steering wheel controls to work. Once fitted i will be using waze as the nav tool been very happy with it in the past
