My son just asked can he bring this on hols and use in our motorhome

I am not quite up to speed on power in mh atm and still learning.

Can this be used by just plugging in to the normal socket on our mh
If so can it be used whilst wild camping or just whilst on electric hook up

Or do I need an inverter? And if I need an inverter what size?

You need either to be on hook up or have an inverter.

Power wise it will use about 160 - 170 watts while being used. No big deal on EHU but off grid you will need to be aware. You won't need a very big inverter but, adding a bit for inefficiency losses, you will be taking about 15 amps per hour out of your batteries plus whatever the TV uses.

I don't know what battery and charging arrangement you have but that usage would make a standard 110ah battery flat in about 3 hours.

I'd probably let him take it but only let him use it when you have EHU.

We have 2x 110 leisure batteries and 150w solar panel.
Thx my thinkimg was if we take will let kids use on EHU as a treat. Will ensure not used daily. Sounds like my initial gut feeling was correct.
