Hi guys.

I'm trying to swap the cigarette lighter socket in the centre of the dash for a USB socket.

I know how most of the rest comes apart but cannot get to the back of this. Anyone know?

Why not just use a usb adaptor
That way you'll still have the socket for other use

The
because all the USB cigarette sockets I've tried fall out.

There are some plugs that are longer and fall out

I'm running a usb adaptor that also feeds a 4 way adaptor for my dash cam, sat nav, parrot HF and a phone charger and the plug comes out the dash horizontally

No problem in 12 months

I thought once the glove box was completely removed you could get your hand to the back of the socket.

Check the cup holder and lift out rubber mat, they often hide a fixing screw under there.
As above I have a plug in usb adaptor, very short and fits in ok. "Griffin" brand from memory.

I got to mine by removing the gear lever surround. Then working my way way round. There is a screw in the bottom of the ash tray. Bit of a fiddle as most bits clip together.
