I have noticed a small weep of oil from the sump plug and as the van is due an oil/filter change I will replace the sump plug washer. Can you tell me what size washer it is please.

Cheers.

It may be from the last service. Have you wiped it dry to see if it comes back?
Mine is still on the original washer.

I think it will be 22mm

Yes wiped dry and came back. It is still original washer but I do turn it over each time I drop the oil. Goes to show why I asked, I thought was 17mm!!

Pretty sure it is the same. Ebay compatibilty lists are rubbish. My 3 litre is the same

Thanks for the link, actually found that after your last posted link. So it seems that it is 22mm.

Cheers for the help.

Halfords keep then on the shelf.. So drop your oil, while it is draining pop to Halfrauds and get the filter oil and with you sump plug in hand, be sure of getting the right one (y)

Great idea but its a long drive to a Halfords from here in the Limousin.:LOL:

What you need is a nice little Honda Blackbird then ! Your only 500 miles from your nearest Halfrauds.. 4 hours and you there LOL !!!

Measure it whilst it's off so you can buy spares. Then re-use it by heating red hot & dropping it in cold water which will soften it so it will seal again. Copper (I assume it's copper) work hardens. Same for aluminium but don't heat red hot.

Dont need a Blackbird as already have Pan European 1300, but I think the panniers maybe a little large for a copper washer!!!!!

Ahhh.. The Pan,,, the natural progression from the CX500 ! :D

Ah Jaws you forgot to add "but with built in high speed wobble" LOL

Didn't know the CX500 had a wobble!, at least the one I had didn't.

If your talking about the Pan then yes some did have a wobble especially police bikes, something to do with all the radio equipment and blue light pole and tyre pressure.
