Wrong wiring? (1 Viewer)

Hi all.

First post here. I’m building an Iveco van conversion and about 70% completed.

I’ve just realised that I’ve used the wrong wire for a couple of items and wanted some advice. Basically I used 30amp rated wiring for a couple of things that would be fine with wire half of that thickness. They are only short wires - perhaps a couple of metres from the items (electric flush toilet, bathroom fan and Maxxfan) to where the switches will be. I can replace these but it’d mean a fair amount of effort due to the wiring position. Given the shortness of the wires and the fact they are way overkill for the items they’re connected to, would they ok to leave in place?

I can't see any reason to replace them just too good for the job!

Undersized wiring would be a problem, oversized wiring not a problem.

No problem at all with it, its when you use the wrong type (ie household mains electrics wire (... yes we've seen it done!) or too low for the loads it's expected to carry that you have problems.

Won't be a problem but if you have used solid wire instead of flex I would be inclined to replace with flex to avoid future problems from vibration.
