just after some opinions on whether to have our van wrapped or not, now we no its a personal thing but having seen this on modern vans we think it would give our lunar a lift as the only thing that dates it are the pinky colour coachlines. Showed a friend and he said it would look like a dustcart (really) ?? Although we are planning on keeping her for a good few years we don't want to de value her. So over too you lovely lot for some opinions and maybe some other ideas!!!

I had a look at this last year on our old van, the only thing was she looked a bit tired with faded "go faster stripes" from heat damage over 10 years. I thought she needed a wrap or a respray.
In the end i went for just replacing the go faster stripes and actually giving her a really good wash for those hideous water marks.
She came up really well.
Changed the brown and caramel faded stripes to Orange and Blue and I know that sounds hideous but really made her look nice.
You can buy them by the metre off ebay and you just take off the previous stripes (completely) with a heat source on a warm day

More than toes wet now!
Wouldn't bother. White will be the new "black" next year!:)
If you wrap it what do you do if you have a minor bump in it and need repairs done?
Never mind the extra height you'll add on for the bow on top!
ps, I quite like the "all" white look anyway.(y)

Tough decision, I like the look of it being wrapped but I also think your van looks very tidy as it is, although wrapped with the addition of alloy wheels would look good, just my opinion..... and the fact I want alloy wheels on mine :).

Basically it is bonding a coloured plastic film onto your bodywork instead of re-spraying. Looks brilliant - if it is done properly

What's wrapping?

Here's a rap

In The Style Of Eminem
by Poetic Pyro

May I have your attention please?
I'm not afraid
To drive my van
Everybody
Come take my hand
We'll walk through Skegness together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm

His brow is sweaty, arms tired, brain is angry
There's food on his sweater already, wife's curry
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready to drive my van,
But he keeps on forgetting what he wrote down

And when I'm gone, just drive my van, don't mourn
Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my horn
Just know that I'm looking down on you driving
And I didn't feel a thing, So baby don't feel no pain
Just park where I like, no park no gain

If it's done well it looks fantastic and also protects the paintwork from stonechips.
As Joe mentioned a lot of companies are having their fleet of vehicles wrapped and they do loads of miles in all weathers.
I like it but just think you need to be careful with the choice of colour and finish as with all things.

Well after some deliberation and a quote for a £1000 pound to have her wrapped I decided to paint the pink part of the decals. So after masking out each section and then scotching up and a de greasing I applied a couple coats of satin black, and wow what a difference and all it cost was about £10 and a mornings work.
