Would you put a dish washer tablet in your m/home water tank to descale your water heater.The other half did the kettle she had a tip from some mag it worked great so i was thinking.You know the rest YES/NO

Depends how bad the scale is, if it's getting to the point where the boiler needs replacing you've got nothing to loose.

I use white wine vinegar it is what Truma used to recommend.

A kettle is easy to rinse out afterwards......not so a fresh water tank and pipes.

The water container on the Truma Combi heater should be regularly sterilised and descaled. Any standard cleaning products stocked by specialist camping retailers can be used for cleaning, sterilisation and maintenance. It is important that products are used according to manufacturer specifications in the correct dosage and with the correct exposure time.

You can also regularly heat the water in the Combi heater to 70°C to prevent the growth of microorganisms. To do this, set the water temperature to
60°C (on the CP plus control panel, HOT setting), leave the appliance switched on for at least 30 minutes, and do not use any hot water during this time. Once the water reaches a temperature of 60°C, the burner switches off and the residual heat in the heat exchanger heats the water to 70°C.

You can use standard descaling products from specialist camping retailers, acetic acid or citric acid to descale the water container.

Add the cleaning or descaling products in the recommended mixing ratio to the appliance via the water intake and allow them to work. Then flush the Truma Combi as part of your water system thoroughly with fresh water.

Its only a 10lt tank let it sit for a while take shower head off and clear
not a full water tank

I have no problem with the heater.It just made me think we eat our food of the plates and pots&pans and it did such a good job with the kettle
