enjoyed the freedom over the last couple of years but still Wish we could have got away more often
Wow, what a can of worms.

Totally understand why you would want to and if I was asked the question by one of my kids directly it would be hard to say no but I might have to mumble something about cost of insurance to get them insured in it.

Good justification for next Moho to be over 3.5t so their licences won’t cover it.

I love my kids dearly but they just don’t seem to look after things the same as us and there is lots of delicate plastic on the outer extremities of a motorhome.

I would probably avoid unless I really had to.

Our daughter drives by touch, she takes after her Nana on her Dads side, but she has her own little motorhome. Our son has the capabilities to drive it but I wouldn't let him!

Lent mine to my bro ONCE.
He used my emergency diesel funnel to fill the fresh water tank from the aquaroll.
The funnel had been used the day before and took a few drain and refills to get rid of the smell.
Never again.
Step daughter asked but at 3850kg she wasn't licenced.
Saved me saying no for any other reason.

I have to be honest would not loan my son or daughter my car never mind our mobile home..
you see i see both of the kids vehicles.. hah 32 and 26 and im calling them kids..
A rat would fear to tread in said vehicles..so no.. they would not get within a 20 foot yeti poles distance of our drivers seat.
They would of course be welcome to visit..

Our son in law has asked but he will have to take his test as our van is 4.250 tonnes.

I'll be nervous when he does but I trust him and it's better to be used and enjoyed than just sat there.

Absolutely Not
What we do out of habit , never run out of water leaveing the pump running dry, leaveing the toilet cassette until it's to late, expecting the van do go from 0 to 60 in 8 seconds , getting too confident in there ability to handle Your Vans Size and Weight anyone can drive along a road at 55 mph it's stopping it that you only get through experience.
It may seem harsh to say No but if your pride and joy comes back with a scratch all down one side, or a rear tyre that's been badly kerbed it will be to late.
Sorry Dad ,is not what you want to hear on its return.
Your son may call you a miserable old git ( under his breath) but he will get over it (y)

Quite possibly - though no kids, do have a niece who's married to a very practical Canadian fella - if they broke something, it'd come back fixed better than it was built in the first place :D2.

Yes , this year my son ,his wife and their 2 children used ours on 6 week trip. I was a bit nervous as we had planned our trip a couple of weeks later. It came back in excellent condition and they had a great time. The decision must be mutual and terms laid out beforehand. So for me it was a yes with no regrets.

I would lend mine to my step-son, but he has a bit of experience behind him at 48, and he drives fire engines. So he can drive my little van OK.

We speced ours with them in mind, put them on the insurance and -- not interested.

For youngsters working it takes so long to get to the sun and costs so much it's just not attractive to them.

Although we have had 10 good years out of the van, had we not gone for all the seat belts we could have got a more comfortable van for just two of us.
