Wont to check fuel prices before leaving home see http://gasoline-germany.com/international.phtml?changeto=EN From what I've checked they seem up to date as you would expect from a German site.

My exprience over the past 6 months is that fuel prices change from garage to garage to garage to region & there is no such thing as an indicative price. I've noticed that Italy & Spain are cheaper than France & Germany but it really does vary - but they all seem cheaper than good old blighty.
