Hello all

I would like to apply something to protect the underside of my van's wooden floor, parts of which are showing signs of deterioratrion

Any suggestion as to a suitable product, preferable that can be sprayed?!

Cheers

Don't know but would have thought somthing like Waxoil (don't know if spelt corr.). it should keep the damp out. I know I used to put it on a caravan floor, it seemed to work on that.
Just protect brakes don't want them sprayed.

If I'm wrong someone is bound to say

If the floor is is good condition, I would use a 'Drying oil', such as Cuprinol Fence and shed protector. This soaks into the wood and prevents the growth of decay fungi, thereby preventing rotting. I did my old caravan floor with this (Twice) and it has remained sound for 20 years.
If you think the floor has soft (rotted) areas which are not too extensive, use Nitromors Wood hardener. This will set like concrete over 24 hours and can then be treated as above.
The suggestion of using Waxoyl is also a sound idea.
