Did you have a favourite and still wished you had it..???
................................................................................................................

I have had umpteen RV`s and Euro-van`s.......... And the only two I wished I had kept was a 33ft Damon Daybreak, with a super-slide.... And that for a 2 year old vehicle with only 3,400 miles on the clock was the biggest pain...

Loved it BUT.... never went abroad... (Was too scared it would breakdown again...)

Always going wrong although was put right by the dealer eventually.... but took the shine of owning shear luxury..

My all time favourite was a Rapido 1001, tag axle... Few trips abroad and plenty of "Fun" rallies.... beautiful bit of kit... :inlove:

What were your favourites, and you wished you still had it and NOT changed..???

Ducati 125cc

If only I still had that. Had lots of bikes in my youth from the above, Royal Enfield 250cc (lovely bike to ride, when it wasn’t spewing oil from the crank case), Triumph 500, Matchless 350 with chair. All classic now.

Mo, we’ve only had two - A Hymer B564 which was our favourite for 7 years.

We then changed it to our current Hymer B590 which is now OUR favourite, although Cliff took some convincing ….. he was almost in tears as he waved our old one Goodbye ….

So all in all, I’ve just written something I chided others for on another thread - a totally irrelevant post, not answering your question - I hope you’ll still be my Funster Friend …. xx

I miss my Hot Rod.

Had two MK1 Escort Mexico's, now worth lots of money, with hindsight should never have sold them. Friend of mine has two ex Shellsport MK1 Mexico's worth a small fortune. Wish I'd also kept the Honda CBR600 I got when I got divorced,

I have been lucky, I have never changed any vehicle I have liked which is probably why I still have a 1989 VW Westfalia California and a 2007 Murvi Morello.
I'm a great believer in the old saying, 'Better the devil you know....etc.' and have never changed just to get a newer model.
Reliability is more important than looks, in vehicles and people!

PS. I do regret selling my smallholding in Surrey, but that was the result of a different kind of love. :giggle:

PPS, My father had a rare Bradford Shooting-Brake which had the registration plate OUR 25, I wished we had kept that, but only for monetary reasons. He part exchange it for a Mk 1 Minivan.

I quite liked my Eura Mobil 770HS. But it was way to big for a solo traveller. Comfiest van I ever went in though. Well laid out. Nicely equipped. Worth every penny.

My XK 150 drophead in racing green. The only motorhome i would really miss is the the one i have owned from new 32 years ago and still have. Just done 6 weeks in Portugal and Spain in it . Still going strong. But i still miss my Jag.

My all time favourite trail bike. CRM250 MK3, [ Lilac Lil ]. All loaded with camping gear for a weekend orienteering weekend around Salisbury Plains. The most outrageously easy bike to ride, so easy to ride I used in Trials events.

Not healing as fast as I was breaking bit's forced a reluctant sale.

Had this one from new and did some great trips in U.K. and across the water , photo on Skye. Unfortunately ran out of C1.

:ROFLMAO: YOO HOO., it's OK, I think they would know you'd arrived in that, you didn't need to announce your arrival as well.
Nice van.

I live in Plymouth and I have to admit that if it was like this now it would be amazing

The place had character and characters back then.
Fleet of nets strung the length of the Quay getting mended. passers by stop, and having a natter, my young (then) nephew just starting to learn the trade, now a skipper of Sam of Ladram out of Brixton.
Work on any of the boat engines or a bit of welding and get paid with a box of fish 🐠😂

Early 70's, sold a 500cc Velocette for £35 to get the deposit for a new Norton Command 750 about £700 if I remember. Velo probably worth more than the Commando which is in the shed undergoing it's traditional annual rebuild which often takes ten years - have actually got the motor back in the frame though.
