Traveling up the motorway this morning in heavy rain our wiper blade let go and went off the side of the screen a class Carthago Iveco, causing quite a panic as it was the drivers side,
We managed to get home anyway stripped the wiper arm off and it has stripped the splines on the spindle, on closer inspection the wiper arm is completely the wrong size hole to suit the spindle, this is from new what a bodge. I will see if a spindle is available separately then ream the arm to fit correctly 🤬

Are you sure the spindle splines are stripped?
The spindle is considerably more robust that the arm itself being steel and not cast alloy as is the arm,.
Try cleaning up the tapered spline of the spindle with a wire brush, sounds to me that the arm was not tightened sufficiently and moved, shaving off the very shallow spline in the arm and depositing the remains on the spindle.
The security of the arm on spindle relies more on the taper than the splines which do more to locate.

Yes pretty much half the splines have all but gone, due to the alloy arm not either being the correct size or the correct taper, the nuts holding them on only use two or so threads to secure them on the spindle.
This is how Carthago supply the vehicle 😟 not much point in going back to Premium they are clueless 👍
