Wiper blades

Wiper blades are sold by length (in inches). So you need to measure the existing ones. I always buy Bosch Super Plus. Ours are 21" long, so the model number for ours is SP21. Halfords will sell them, but they are twice as much in there than they are at your local Euro Car Parts

Worth measuring as mentioned above but I purposely orderd a few extra inches than the existing blades and now get a bigger swept area on my Ducato front end.

Would the drag not put extra load on the wiper motor?

Funnily enough I was looking for new SP21 blades this morning and as you say, Euro Car Parts are half Halfords price.
Enter your reg'n and up will come all the options:

Putting in your reg number won't work for an A class.

There are usually additional money off at Euro car parts so ask them for their latest codes. Or ask them to put you on their email list and you will get notified each week like I do. My SP21's were £6.29 each rather then the £10.49 standard price

the wipers on an Aclass are just standard base vehicle wipers, so if its on a fiat ducato chassis thats all you need

Just one other point we discovered (don't ask how ;) ), the 2 blades on our Fiat Ducato base are different lengths. From memory the nearside was shorter than the offside. So worth measuring both blades. You can buy a pair with different lengths once you are certain which you need.

It's not unusual to have different sized blades.
Putting your reg'n into the Euro Car Parts search box results in info about which blade you need for the driver's side and which you need for the passenger side.
EDIT......
Evidently the A class needs 3 blades but the Search facility worked for my VW T4 base vehicle as it has the standard van windscreen.
Best to go along and take the old ones in to be matched.

Not correct I am afraid.

My A class windscreen, along with most others, is higher and wider, is of a different shape and is in a different position to that in the standard Fiat chassis. The standard base vehicle's wipers and the wiper mechanism won't work. To start off with my Fiat based Hymer has three wiper blades with very different arcs to the two blades on the base cab.

According to Euro car parts a 2015 3 litre Ducato (which is what mine is based on) needs one 26" blade and one 22" blade. Mine actually needs three 21" blades.

Bought mine off ebay, easy to fit , great quality and ridiculously cheap. No drag at all, quiet as mice, ( although possibly mice would object to being dragged across a windscreen)

I usually buy wiper blades at Screwfix for our cars and the MH although it's not an a class

Thanks everyone have measured wipers i need 2 21inch 1 19inch so will. Try ebay
my rapido A class takes 3x 26inch blades

I tried the bosch aero ones and although they cleared the screen well they didn't last long. My garage put a set of motorfactors basic blades on 3 years ago, still working well at the weekend with heavy rain

I used to buy cheep and cheerful and for one day of madness I bought some Bosch’s…… now they are all I buy.. a different kettle of fish…👍🏼

Mines a carthago tag axle Aclass, took it to local motorfacters last week to match the blades up and they told me they were just standard fiat blades, bought some Bosch and they went straight on ......sorted

ECP discounts do bring prices down to normal but well worth going to a specialist.... https://www.wiperblades.co.uk/

Wiper link
Just this afternoon I bought and fitted a pair of the Bosch Super Plus SP21 for my VW T4 from my local factor Car Parts and Accessories for £18.40 inc VAT which on your link are shown as £26.33. Worth checking local factors.

Unfortunately for me my car blades from ECP did Not fit....twice! The company in my link got it right first time. Quite common for ECP to not have a clue about compatibility.

Ah. Mine are the same both sides and as I was already in town I just took an old one in with me to check what they gave me were correct.
