Hi, I have a 6m ducato van conversion and would like to buy a pair of M & S type tyres just for winter use. Can anyone give a recommendation based on personal experience ?

I use General Eurovan AS 365 all season tyres

The are rated as winter tyres so can be used in Winter in Germany & Austria (winter tyres compulsory from Nov to Mar)

I use them all year round - wear does not seem different to 'ordinary' tyres

Wet grip is noticeably better, plus I have easily driven up icy hills that has thwarted other vehicles

No noticeable change in fuel economy or noise

You can check Tyre's EU ratings for wet grip, fuel efficiency & noise (bear in mind if doing comparisons that they are rated by size - different sizes of the same tyre may have different ratings)

Mine were £100 per corner fitted

All weather tyres are fine now and don't have to be changed every few months

I've recently switched to Michelin Agilis CrossClimate to use all year around after hearing how well they perform by others (and in tests).

M+S and 3Peak.

Only used in dry and bad rain so far but really happy with them.

If you are going to fit them fit to all four corners
Tried two on the front of a car once while waiting on the other two to arrive
Not a fun experience
There is clips on you tube if you need convincing
I had winters on our last van all the time and they were great
When I come to change the tyres on current van will probably go for cross climates

I changed to Michelin Agilis Crossclimate as well.

Continental Vanco 2 Winter - use them all the year round no problems. Great grip too on damp/wet grass. Kwikfit usually have a good deal.

Michelin crossclimate as well much softer ride was going to get a second set of wheels but still on van due to lockdown and may
Not bother now and run all year as some on here do

4 x Mercedes sprinters and a Fiat Ducato all on Michelin Agilis Alpin Winter tyres.

Pushing nearly 50,000 miles on the small sprinter.

2nd Choice would be the Toyo H09’s I’ve recommended in the past.

I run 7 cars on Winters in the UK except our Range Rover which is on all-season.

My Spanish car is fitted with Michelin Cross Climate+
