Looking for osme advice. I am heading skiing in a few weeks and need some winter tyres before i go. I am looking at either Michelin Xice or Michelin Agilis Alpin. Anybody have any experience of these tyres, or have used others.

Agree with Lenny , we had our tyres checked by the French police last year and they are looking for the Snowflake mark on the tyres. They turn lots of cars away that did not have the correct tyres on from the mountain road.

We used Yokohama winter tyres and they were very good.

Most European countries require chains in the snow, at least one pair to be fitted on driven wheels when required.

Hello Brian and Jo, we have left it first stopover today in Livigno (pic attached) when previously we have been in this site we could even get on chocks with chains. We managed to not only get off the site but over the mountain with only tyres!! And there was plenty of snow. Thank you for the recommendation. Wish we had done it years ago!!

Wanted to post this as a way of say thank you.

Top guy!!

Can someone confirm if it's just the front 2 that need snowflake tyres or all 4 for a ski trip to the French alps
