Amazing...no replies...just a week? A couple of hours drive and set up for a relaxing stay.
Why spend hours driving from where you are, you didn't say where you are....😂👍🇪🇦

It depends what type of break you're after.... we've booked into the campsite at Haven Thornwick Bay for a week in October as it seems as though there are plenty of good walks there and also inside Haven activities on site if the weather is rubbish.

My wife has her annual leave at the end of October and I have also been wondering where to go.
I've decided a cheap flight to Malaga, Nice or similar destination is probably the best idea at that time of year.

For only a week and at the end of November it depends if you want sun and heat or not. If you do then leave the van and fly to gran canaria ...30°

If you want damp and cold Scotland is lovely

End of November I'll be heading to Spain

But for only 1 week you dont want to spend the whole time driving.

We have a week in October too, was thinking of Ireland and popping and seeing my parents or France as we've not been yet (in the motorhome), having looked at the ferries they are literally HALF the price for the french trip than the Irish one, so think we'll head to France to be honest.

Thanks, after costing up tunnel v flights
(Can’t be doing ferries in November 🤮)
We’ve booked a trip to Prague, Christmas market will be on so should be pleasant for a few nights.

Nice 🍺🍺

Done it loads of times..just the 2 of us golfing. Done 5 days once
I find even two hours on a plane is a pain, I'd need at least two weeks there to warrant a long haul flight 🤷. Also I can't sleep on a plane, I once had 4 central isle seats to myself on a night flight back from Canada, no sleep despite being able to lie down 😕

For me I’d head for the Cotswolds (never disappoints) , or if you could find a site on the Belgian coast head there where you can use The Coastal Tram system to explore the De Panne to Knokke-Heist section which includes Ostend, Nieuwpoort, Westende, and Middlekerke, all delightful seaside towns. Just food for thought.

We live in the Cotswolds and do frequent weekends locally in the van, Belgium was on our short list but the tunnel is £300 which is just a crazy price in November plus fuel and campsite fees when we can get 2 return flights to Prague for £160. So we will do that instead.

Belgium sounds like a good idea.

A bit far for a week don't you think 🤔
It is suprising how many people fly to Miami, one night in a hotel, 3 or 4 night cruise to the bahamas and a couple of nights in the Keys. Often met Brits who came to Miami for a week, saw a cheap cruise for the same week and found it cheaper than hotels.

Great tip about Belgium - will check on dogs on trams

Personally I would go DFDS Newhaven - Dieppe Return (Over 60? you get 20% discount on a phone booking) Then visit Normandy and Brittany, Cheese and Cidre trails and Calvados. Lots of Aires some you pay for, some you don't.

We did it a few years back, a beautiful city and cheap tram rides everywhere.
