We are planning to put our first MH in storage for 3 or 4 months over winter and have been offered a place in a barn with a EHU hookup included...

My first thought was to use one of the electronic timers so that twice a week the juice was turned on for 6 hours to keep the batteries charged up....

Any advice

Thanks

We have left ours on 24/7 for the last 2 years. No problems with either batteries and always ready to go

Your Dethleffs is a modern van with a charger that will maintain the battery correctly. You can leave it permanently plugged in, no need for a timer.

@moulin 87 - You will be paying for the electricity for all the time you have it in storage so make sure there can be no pest entry insects as well as mice
Put your heating on to maintain a frost free ambience
Don't worry about the batteries We have our caravan on our drive the Solar is off and 240v is on as is the heating so we have had no battery problems from this in the last 19 years of having a caravan there

for us the advantage is we have a spare room ready at a moments notice
