You need to be careful when using alternative heating in really cold weather as some of the motorhome's internal heating systems are designed to protect the water supplies and to help stop dampness,
So check that the alternatives that you are using are still providing that protection e.g providing some warmth to the voids between double insulated floors, garage areas where pipes run etc. and for dampness you may want to leave the shower room door open if you are using a free standing heater, as your on board system may well be ducted into the shower area to help keep the dampness down and protect the pipe fittings but your free standing heater won't.
