2021 Auto Sleeper based on Peugeot Boxer, I would like to fit a cover to go over the screen & also cover bonnet vents to protect from the water that pours down, I do have proper silver screen but want something thinner that can be left on for a few weeks at a time when not in use. We do use it during the winter as well.

When I upgraded my Thermal screen I was going to sell on the old ones, but I decided to keep them to use when the van's parked up at home. It's been useful to have two sets, with the 'at home' ones getting various tree and bird crap when left on at home(!), and the thicker ones always being packed ready in the back of the van.
I think Fuel Lagoon do thinner screens which are much less expensive than the more heavy duty thermal ones, so it may be worth taking a look at their offerings.

We're thinking along the same lines as yourself for our 2013 X250 and would be interested in what you think of them when they arrive, please.
What style did you go for?

I had used an old Taylormade thermal screen but when it finally gave up the ghost I bought something similar looking to the Fuel Lagoon one above but after the fist winter stopped using it as I felt it chaffed the paint on the door/window frame uprights. Mine fitted inside the doors to trap it so didn’t do the side windows. Possibly as it moved easily in the wind despite being strapped. I would be keen to hear how you have found yours Tonks, especially as you can compare both sets.

Regards. Roy

Just noticed on their website the blinds don’t fit if you have internal Reims blinds, wonder why this is?

Because the doors are effectively thicker due to the blind cassette fitted to the door.

I dropped an email over to Fuel Lagoon asking a few questions on their external screens -

+++++
We have a 2013 FIAT Ducato based motorhome and are considering a set of these for use whilst in storage over winter.
  • are they robust enough to be left fitted for two \ three months over the winter period?
  • will these be suitable when Remis door blinds are fitted?
  • is the windscreen portion of the cover long enough to cover the air \ ventilation grills on the 2013 Ducato model or do they only cover the glass area?
and give them their due they were back within 24 hours with -

The only screen we sell that covers the vents is this one here: https://fuellagoon.co.uk/products/d...vent-screen-cover?_pos=1&_sid=1fb8c81d3&_ss=r
Our screens do not fit with the remis blinds on the door windows.
They are not designed to be left on for long periods of time. I'm sure you could still use them for this however I don't think they would last as long. They are not made from marine grade fabric so the colour could fade when left on for long periods of time
+++++

So, looks like they won't work for us.:(
