does he know how much new silencers are for a wing
It's not the silencers but the crash bars and belly pan.
I think you'll find it's the footplate / pegs that touch down first. They were always the first things to touch down on any bike I've owned. My Pan pegs were chamfered at 45 deg both sides...............
Your right about the pegs touching first, but they fold up then the crash bars and belly pan take the strain, I have seen bikes with damage caused this way.
