We have a little niggle...our wing mirrors move when we shut the cab door and has to be adjusted... the passenger one being the most problematic. We have fitted mirror guard on our mirrors. Is it possible to tighten the wing mirrors?

Find out what is actually shifting..
Ie the mirrors move within the housing which is usually just friction on the mounts (assuming they arnt electric )
Or the whole housing may be shifting ..it is usually controlled by a fair spring which locates the mirror housing in position..
So see which is moving .. the actual mirror or the whole housing...

Most mirrors are fixed behind a plastic cover inside the cab, if you can work how to get the cover off might be a case of tightening a few screws. you could Google it bound to be a video about your problem.

If it is the whole housing that needs adjusting after you close the door ,it may be the extra weight of the guards is causing that to happen.. either try and be more gentle or see if there is some means of adjusting the tension on the spring that holds the rotating parts together...
Check the moulding carefully for a pop out plastic disc on the underside of the plastic guard, below the point about which the arms rotate.... if there's one there they can usually be popped with a sharp blade and see if there is a means of tightning the spring....
It may not be possible to look furthur than that...I think I had to break the plastic trim to remove the transit mirror...
Hope you get sorted..
Andy.

5 years, feel free to ask me about the Carado!!
If it's the whole housing then it will be the Torx screws that are loose into the van body, so you will need a torx adapter. If you would like to take my advice you should go down to your local Pugeot dealer and get the replacement shear bolt set (about ÂŁ4) and remove the chocolate soft torx screws which will lose their heads with any messing about with them (or just go rusty and crumble) and replace!
Pic of replacement bolts, note these are shear bolts designed to let go of the mirror in case of a bad smash, not standard ones.
