Thought it may be helpful to list the current options available both to buy & DIY to make motorhome (& caravan) windows more secure - it's always good to see new ideas too.
We have had these for years & best we have tried so far https://lock-m-out.co.uk/en/ - easy to fit & remove with versions for both standard windows & sliding windows.

Spotted this but no link on where to buy it - does anyone know? Likely to be German as was featured in a article for that audience & priced at ā‚¬35. Like that it uses existing holes & replaces the handle but maybe not suitable for quick exit in case of a fire.

When searching for the lock above spotted that there is now a plastic (PETG) 3D printed lock with a similar function to the Lock M Out steel ones https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/26539121...d=link&campid=5338547443&toolid=20001&mkevt=1 - well priced at Ā£4 each plus Ā£2 p&p per order - has anyone tried these? They have sold quite a few with good feedback & produced by a major company https://www.steelmans3d.com/3dprinting.html
I brought a couple a few weeks ago to give them a try, arrived within 2 days, fitted perfectly so another 8 ordered so each window have 2 fitted. Brought the bright orange ones, and boy are they bright. really obvious that they are fitted.

Good to have some feedback - have suggested to them that orange might not be the best colour as fine from outside but have to like it on the inside too! Do they fit over the handles with push buttons or are yours the kind without?

Mine are the bog standard Polyplastic handles without a push button. I expect they wouldn't fit a handle with a press button. Not overly bothered about the colour as they only take a few seconds to remove/replace.

Just fitted theseā€¦ā€¦.Ā£32 for 8 delivered. Another cheap layer of security, and they do them in black if you donā€™t want the hi-viz ones. (y)

To be honest there is little you can do with Motorhome windows security, I had fitted the usual door deadlocks and alarm
system with side facing cameras going to a recording system, the swan individual alarm on the windows and still had a breaking,
they covered over the cameras, didnā€™t try the doors because of the obvious deadlocks and went for the weakest point the windows, the alarm worked ok but didnā€™t stop them smashing the kitchen window thatā€™s 5 foot high on the side of the Motorhome,
I personally take responsibility for leaving the motorhome on a deserted beach car park and going for a long walk out of earshot of the alarm, Again hindsight is a wonderful thing, we were obviously being watched when we parked up and when we walked far enough away from the vehicle it was a golden opportunity for them to break in,

if there are many motorhomes in an area then enhancing your security is beneficial, because the toerags will go for the easiest option i.e. vehicles with minimal security. But even with the best securityā€¦..windows in the motorhome are always going to be vulnerable unless you fit iron bars which nobody wants to do.

Layers of overt physical security, coupled with not so obvious, makes your van less of an easy target.

Just like burglars when they see physical securityā€¦ā€¦theyā€™ll look for an easier target as thereā€™s ALWAYS easier targets. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Sorry, but Iā€™m just trying to push them elsewhere. (y)

From the same UK company as the plastic window handle locks there's now this 3D printed option for Heki roof windows https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/26570465...d=link&campid=5338547443&toolid=20001&mkevt=1 so have ordered a few to try.

Not sure if they are as strong as the cut out plastic ones by this manufacturer
https://styyl.de/products/hek-y-lock-die-zusatzsicherung-passend-fur-midi-heki-von-dometic but they don't ship from Germany to the UK anyway. More info. on this option here https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/locks-for-heki-roof-windows.280440/
