windows 7, 8 and 8.1 bug warning (1 Viewer)

It is possible to remotely crash these operating system from a web page.

So if you have one of these three OS's and you are crashing when you visit certain web pages it may be this bug. You will need to avoid that particular web page until MS patch this probably next month but more likely July patch tuesday.

I normally wouldn't post this, but as it is now public lots of pranksters will start putting this to use. So you may start seeing your computer crash (blue screen) and need a reboot.
Don't panic if your computer crashes but keep a note of what you were doing...

Windows users are used to the Blue Screen of Death every half an hour aren't they? :whistle:

Strangely, since installing Windows 8 several years ago, on my desktop, I have never had a 'freeze' or 'crash'. It is the most stable version of Windows I have ever used.

Subscribers  do not see these advertisements

Oh the joys of old skool :LOL: Back in the day you used to be able to open people cd drives from a web page, you could even scan an ip address and connect to someones printer - zero special tools or software required :rolleyes:
