All the windy weather we’ve been having recently prompts me to ask you serious travellers how you prevent your motor home from blowing away.

Since before Motorhomefun
They generally are more problem with wind when travelling along. If its to windy stop and maybe seek shelter.

A Hymers is heavy enough not to be to troubled.

There as some full timers here that can help answer your residentcy issues on the road.

The last time away the wind did catch me out. Had the awning out with safari room attached. Without the safari room could have wound in the awning quickly. Result one ripped awning.

Fair play LC1962 tells me santa has been and left me a new one in her warehouse :Smile: So I am happy.

At the end of the day the wind is a strong force, if you can put stuff away or down, crank up sky dish does not like strong winds always wind that in, learnt the lesson on the awning.

Still I will never be a fine weather MH user. Love it in all weathers.
