Hello. Has anyone located a windshield to use with a table top Cadac BBQ ?
I have trawled Amazon and EBay but the ones there are too short and only made for Backpackers with a small spirit stove. The French seem to have one that is sturdy and has 3 hinged panels. Thanks

Have look at this

The thing I do is put a windbreak up around the table on 3 sides then stand or sit at open side to cook. If wind quite strong I use the Aluminium blocker around the stove as well. :)

Thanks Wickolad, but it does not have the height. I assume the 83cms. is when the 10 plates are fully opened. I would need at least 40 cm high panels to cope with the height of the legs as well as the gas burner and the pan on top!!

@ Suda - if I am not mistaken the ones that the French use are those which they have had locally manufactured in Morocco, which is where we get ours made.

Yes indeed. CAROL of Chester fame has the perfect guard. I borrowed it once and cooked a whole pig on the Cadac in one minute thirty seconds. PM her a begging request for her source.

Same company does the identical item a bit cheaper....

At this price, why not buy 2, 2nd is 5% cheaper and with very basic fabrication or alteration, ie wire rod, link/stack them. You then have your height and total cost less than £10. Its also very flexible to work with round or square/ oblong shaped burners. :)

any competent diy'er or metal worker could hinge 3 or4 pieces of aluminium sheet to make a wind shield. when not in use it would fold flat
