wind and oysters dish (1 Viewer)

How windy does it have to get before I have to put down the Oyster 85cm dish. We are in Calpe at the mo no sun lots of wnd but nowt to do exept watch TV. Please help people tell me that they know of all sorts of horror storys regardng wind and roof mounted dishes.

We always recon if its the winds gusty or you start to worry about the strength of the wind its time to put it down.

I think its fair to assume that the dish will tell you when its not happy
When you keep loosing picture or pixilating to the point of annoyance

Its no good working to a wind speed cos you aint got no method of measuring it, and it all depends on direction relative to the dishoh:

RoadPro told me 28mph for our Crystop 85cm, and use a Torque wrench to set the bolt to the correct torque to make sure the dish gives in high winds otherwise something will break.

Out of interest what stations can you get in Calpe on an 85cms dish? My understanding was that this area was an absolute no no for satellite TV.
