Forward thinking and all that....

Winter just around the corner.... now....

We have "Air Ducts" ... in the WC/Shower room and around the seating area in the lounge part...

Also one coming from under the raised floor (Step) near the front driver/passenger seats...

Fur ball "Daisy" the dog sleeps there most of the time... And HATES heat, cos of her thick undercoat.. (GSD X Malimut)..

Both the others have a type of butter fly flap to direct the hot air to where you want or close down completely.

Would it do any harm to close (Tape or something) over this heat vent to stop the hot air coming out during colder times..?. :thanks3:

I don't think there would be a problem but is the butterfly flap missing from that outlet? Could you get a replacement?
On our Carver Fan master system there are two ducting pipes from the fan unit and the instructions state that at least one outlet should be open on each leg but it doesn't indicate by how much.
Allowing some air flow would keep the pipe run to air any locker the pipe runs through.

Just make sure you leave at least one vent open when heating is on.

<Broken link removed>

Shower and lounge are the same as above...

But step one at the front like this... but with not so many slits..... no room to put a blank over it as it sits slightly proud..

Maybe like this?

You have to remove the one that's already there and replace with the "blanking" one. Be aware it can be fiddle (very!) if you can't access the piping behind the vent to hold it when replacing. Probably better \ easier to just cover with tape cut to shape,

Cannot get anywhere near the back... looks like it may be in between a double floor..

Will go along with the tape idea... :hugs::*

Just had a sudden thought! Yes, that was the clanging you heard! :whistle2:
I might have some wee cuttings of this sticky backed vinyl lying around -

Let me know if it would maybe suit and see if I can find them and post them off to you.

Probably a silly question, but are you sure it's an outlet and not an inlet to recycle the air?
Definitely hot air..... blew it out when we tested the system.. (y)

Thanks for the offer.... I think yours is a different colour.... and then there is always the time we do not have the dog with us and could do with the hot air...

I will stick some tape over for now when needed... Thanks.. :*

No problem Old Mo. I have a Vantage, the vent on the front ‘step’ was an always open vent and I got the the guys at Vantage to change it to a flap version (easy job) It can be closed off no problem as long as you have at least one other vent open. I recommend leaving open the one in the toilet compartment; great for a hot meditate!
