Left Parchal yesterday after draining my grey water tank into the appropriate place (leaving the tap open) and headed to Quarteira when my phone repair specialist was due to replace the inner and outer screen protectors of my very clever folding phone.

Sadly the new bits won't be in until Friday so I parked up at the market place "aire" (€6 per night including electricity) to wait until tomorrow.

Then the skies opened up and a huge deluge of rain pounded down for ages. I took this opportunity to empty my washing up bowl down the sink and the water drained straight onto the ground via the open tap where it was washed away by the rivers of rain falling all around.

Have I sinned?

Will I go to hell?

Please advise...

No, I hope though in your defence, that you use Ecocover washing liquid or other eco friendly washing up liquid and that you will not do it again ever, ever, 🤪😉🤣🤣🤣

To answer your question, it is “yes” as it is well known that you can run but never hide from the GWP (Grey Waste Police)

Have you sinned?
Probably! but not today

Will you go to hell?
That’s dependent on the GWP

It all depends!

Are you going to apologise and do a penance for accidentally leaving the tap open to drip skating liquid on the roads?

Or

Go straight to hell by confessing it was a deliberate, premeditated, naughty boy act not to close the tap before driving - dont pass go or collect any money

If there is photographic evidence you could be on your way and they say hell is hot with loads of dirty women ;)

No second chances for you, so I think it will be hell.

I wouldn't worry. With the life you're leading I doubt that emptying a bit of grey water will make one iota of difference to where you're going to end up.

It certainly is... but cleverness cannot protect it from the relentless use its owner makes of it!

Well Mr PaulyP, you must know much more about Hell than I do given that you regularly experience it every other week in that broken down old scrap building near Manchester...

(He started it... :whistle2:)

I will not comment on your dirty habits but I suppose it means your van is being kept clean of dirty water!,
We left Quarteira on Monday and it was Free all the while we were there!
Glad you called in to leave a few coppers,we have gone to another free aire near Tavira, it's pretty much flooded but it keeps the enemy away!!

Did you try the magic trick then that some do with watches ... ie cover it with a hanki, hit it with a big hammer and then 'magically' pull it out undamaged ... except you forgot to secretly remove the phone first before using the hammer? :giggle:
