We have a 2012 N+B Arto. It has plenty of non visible security but I'd rather a thief didn't have to break his way in before discovering that he can't steal it.

I therefore want to add a strong visual deterrent and, having done my research, the most secure and visible seems to be the Disklok. Because of the larger cab of an A class, the 'arm' part won't foul on the side window/panel. Having done a quick test (with a stick taped to the wheel!), it will foul on your legs if you try to drive it but I wonder if an agile thief, or a pair of thieves, might be able to (or think they'd be able to) drive it with the Disklok in place? If I do go that way, am I right in thinking that there is a MH Fun discount code?

If not the Disklok, what other high visibility security deterrents could I use? Clutch Claw/Pedal box seems the next most secure but but isn't really very visible. Any ideas?

Thanks. Chris

Thick motorcycle chain lock from steering wheel to something solid ? door handle or passenger seat frame

Thanks. That's definitely an option.

I have an A class motorhome and a Disklok and I see the deterrent is that the Disklok rotates on the wheel which prevents being able to turn the steering wheel coupled with the obstruction caused by the arm.
When parked up I also leave the blind slightly open so the Disklok can be seen .

Have you thought about something like Broken Link Removed as a security measure?

I have an A class and use a Disklok as others have said it’s a loose fit on the steering wheel so there is no way you could drive with it in place.

Ah. Thanks. Hadn't appreciated that it spins on the wheel. That's fine then.

Thanks. Yes I had. Probably works really well but perhaps not obvious enough to a potential thief to stop them breaking in. They might just assume the seat can be turned back round if they don't see the lock or how it works.

If you just want a visual deterrent then I've just found this, you could see about getting a longer 'arm' made/extend the existing one:

Put a picture of a dog asleep in the window with the caption “enter at your own risk” 😂

Have you got a tracker ? If not this is worth a look , I just bought one £89.99 comes with wiring loom/plug for hard wiring and re chargeable lasts up to 2 months at a time. Shock and movement alarm , constant position etc etc etc all adjustable on mobile , imo a brilliant bit of kit for peace of mind.

Sometimes a photo of the owner might be more of a deterrent! :giggle:

Admittedly not an A Class but I can't even manoeuvre my van in driveway without removing my Disklock. So I can't imagine anyone actually driving with one fitted.

Thanks. Can't open the link though?

Disklok is recognised as one of the best out there, not the cheapest, your choice.
