Potentially yes as you have to declare if you've had any claims within the last 5 years. How the other companies will act depends on their business ethics

Is the claim substantial enough? you could just drop it if you'd end up more out of pocket

I think its too late for that as the police called the tow truck as it was two streets away.
and they wanted £150 + storageto get it back. they also sent a hire car, now its been towed to York as they dont charge the insurance company storage.

Yes it will.

Make sure you declare the claim as the motorhome insurance companies and those that insure motorbikes do check.

If you have lied they automatically bump up your premium and then they may not pay out if you make a claim on your motorhome insurance.

You need to check with the police to see how they have classified the crime.

Attempted theft, vandalism, criminal damage are all dealt with differently by insurance companies - sorry I am not as up to date as I used to be

Yes - you need to declare to the other insurers.

They will know, but will continue to accept your monies each year until you claim. Then they will refuse as you had not declared the accident. They also may "mark" you with other insurers.

Something similar happened to a friend of mine

Depends on the insurance company. At the end of the day policies now tend to be generated automatically; i.e. person puts data in, electro gadget does the risk assessment and coughs up a price.

Might it increase your premium, hope fully only a little if not at all taking into account the nature of your claim circumstances.

I had my motorhome written off in Germany. Insurance co claimed full amount of damage £27000 from third party. I have declared it since and still get full no claims on motorhome and car so dont worry. BUSBY.

There is no third party to claim from in this case
