Is there any guide of known parking/camping areas that can be used for a night around UK/Europe?

In Australia there is Camps, and it was worth every dollar.

We also found similar book in Japan (for michi-no-eki locations)

We stayed in caravan parks only when it's necessary, like in larger cities. We generally find it depressing being crammed into paddocks with dozens of others.

For us it's not the money (though, it does help when travelling for months), but about the solitude and the views. We're pretty self sufficient, so don't need bathrooms/mains power etc.

It's interesting the lack of data for countries other than UK/RoI, France, Spain and Portugal. Is it not possible in other countries, such as Italy, Germany etc? Or just that they haven't been submitted yet?
