Wild camping in Holland (1 Viewer)

• Thanks for everyone's advice on previous thread, moving on from that does any one know the situation of wild camping in the Holland and again if it is possible or legal and if so any recommendations or suggested places

I looked into this last year & found out it was illegal to wild camp.

However, i'd like to hear from someone who's actually 'done' holland in a mh.

Just asked a friend who lives in Holland and has a motorhome.

Here's his reply : "Not allowed at all, and when noticed by the police you will be fined. rather big chance of being noticed and fined"

Will apply to Spain eventually, well in some regions I imagine sooner rather that later, its got out of hand and some Regional Authorities have had enough.

have stayed at a number of aires around the country and a few campsites, only wild camped a couple of times in out of the way places and didn't have a problem,
but we dont make it ovious that we are in residence, and just for one night sleepover and bit of breakfast before moving on,
the biggest problem IMO are the motormomers that stay for days at a time with awning and table and chairs out and no regard to the locals,

Spent a few weeks in Holland in 2015 and the only place we saw wildcamping was at Kornwerderzand on the polder across the Ijsselmeer. Actually spent a whole day there watching the sailing barges and other craft using the locks.

Many thanks for all the advice. From all this information I don't think we will bother especially with all the aires and cheap campsites.
