Hello all, I've just joined up.
Been campering since we bought a C15 in 1990 with a very primitive 'conversion' (a bed and windows). Upgraded in 2001 to an Expert and did a proper conversion: windows, solar vent, insulation, carpet, rotatey chair, wardrobe, bed/table, tow hitch, battery, inverter, fridge.
Also swapped engine from NA to turbo, which made it actually go up hills! It's a bit of a summer van as we have no indoor cooking and hardly ever convert out of bed mode.
Lots of pics at http://www.wookware.org/pics/van/index.html and I really ought to do a proper write-up one day.
We hardly ever use campsites, and much prefer to wild camp, although that works better in France and Scotland than much of the UK.
I'm about to add a solar panel so that we can fridge more without driving about, and as the van is now 19 years old we might have to think about a newer one soon. I really want to go electric but there is currently no such thing, and it's going to be expensive...
