We've given less space to Avatars and they are smaller, you can re-size and re-upload to get your head back

you need to take the picture you want to use and open it in an editor like windows paint. once opened use the menu in the program to resize it downwards. then save the newly resized picture and upload it as your avatar

it really is easy and takes longer to write this post than to do the resize

to change your avatar or upload a new one, click on your user name to go to your profile. then click your avatar and follow the instructions in the pop up window to upload your desired picture. it says min 200 x 200 pixels
