We have a Fiat ducato tag axle x minibus. Motor caravan on the v5c.
I am a little confused as the vehicle category is N1. But the GVW or MVM is 5.2ton.

^ as above. It sounds like a cock-up.
My fiat ducato PV base chassis CoC is N1 (I.e commercial) but is changed to M1 (private) on the later PVC converters CoC

Oh, an afterthought, If it is classed as N1 you will be bound by lower speed limits than a M1 classification. Was it a commercial van with a DIY conversion?

We had that on our previous Van. The convertors hadnt changed it from Commercial Van to Motor Caravan so I did it but was told the N1 Category wouldnt change. Not bound by lower speed limits as this is governed by body type but Dartford Crossing wanted to charge for Goods Vehicle and wouldnt change it.

Since 2008 & many years tugging
In the OP's case it was originally a minibus which should have been M1, maybe the original van was registered before conversion to minibus.
