Presumably positioned to guard the overhead cables further on.
I guess you could be right.

It was taken on a Forestry Commission access in Gatehouse of Fleet. And presumably intended to avoid trucks of timber being loaded too high?

Personally l don’t get it! What’s going to want to go through other than a double decker bus, surely it’s not even necessary?

No you are all wrong, it is what Spurs players use for practice so they do not get too downhearted
Are you sure?
Would there not be some netting around the structure so they wouldn't have to go too far to get the ball back?:whistle2:;):giggle:

What a thoughtful council. Erecting a guide so that you don’t mark the top of your van on the trees. Wished ours were as thoughtful 😀

I think the electric wires across the road give the game away.....😃

I noticed one of these hight barriers on a woodland walk Yes there were overhead power lines but the barrier was over a foot path !!!. I presume it must have been put up before it was a nature reserve.

Or to warn anglers with carbon fibre fishing poles \ rods?

It may be there for when they use some of the larger wheeled equipment for tree trimming etc so that they don't catch it (cherry picker etc).
