My old woodwork teacher called a hammer a 'screw driver' - because you used one to drive in screws - and a screw driver was a 'turn screw' - because that what you used it for!

Have a look in Preferences, there is a tick box to select or not seeing folks' signatures. I find it best to have it set to "Not"!
